About Us

Towne and Country Mortgage is owned by Bob and Debbie Dezell, who bring many years of experience in finance, real estate, and lending to the business.

Bob worked in financing and real estate and Debbie held positions in financing, title and escrow, and mortgage lending before the couple formed Towne and Country Mortgage in 1998. At the time, they felt there was a need for an alternative broker in the area with a company focus on honest, personal service for home buyers.

Quality of Life

Bob and Debbie moved to the Sandpoint area in 1991. Although many people have pointed out that they could "make a lot more money" being mortgage brokers in other areas, they love the quality of life and small town atmosphere Sandpoint offers and have no plans to move.

When they aren't working, they enjoy golfing, shooting skeet, trap, and sporting clays, boating, skiing, snow shoeing and hiking.

Philosophy

At Towne and Country Mortgage, our goal is to be sure that the loan product we provide for our client is the absolute best for that particular client and that their loan is fully and completely processed so that there are no surprises at the closing table. We pride ourselves on getting our clients to their closing date in a timely manner.
